West London Orbital progressing – without Cricklewood

Design and consultation’s going ahead for the West London Orbital rail service from Hendon via the Dudden Hill line round to Acton, Brentford and Hounslow, detailed in TfL’s press release. The branch to Cricklewood and West Hampstead’s disappeared from the plans and isn’t mentioned, so Brent Cross West would be the nearest station for Cricklewood and rail passengers could change there.
Public consultation’s planned for this summer, but any decision to seek the necessary statutory powers wouldn’t be until late 2027.
