SOCO have applied to amend some details of their 2025 planning permission to redevelop 1-13 Cricklewood Lane (6- to 9-storey buildings replacing the Co-op, Lucky 7, the old health centre, etc). The application includes a commercial viability report which argues that competition from Lidl and Asda means a smaller Co-op store will be more viable, and a smaller “drinking establishment” will have lower rent and overheads.
