Dear Residents of Cricklewood and Mapesbury Brent
Brent Council will soon be sending a consultation paper to every household in Zone GM regarding proposed changes to the Zone GM Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ).
These proposals have come forward following requests and concerns raised by residents and businesses in Zone GM.
As your councillor, my position is clear: we will respect the views of residents and the outcome of the consultation carried out by Brent Council.
I strongly encourage you to read the consultation paper carefully and respond to the proposals relating to your street. Please let the Council know whether you wish to keep the current controlled parking restrictions or whether you would like to see changes.
The Council will consider the consultation responses received from residents on a street-by-street basis and will implement the outcome accordingly.
You will have approximately one month to respond, so please make sure you take part. This is a very important consultation, particularly as the last major consultation of this kind took place nearly 23 years ago.
We are leaving this decision in the hands of the residents, and I look forward to hearing your views.
